Position: Sr. position in User Experience

Responsibilities

• Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation and layout of content for the main website and for various other sections the website.
• Advanced knowledge of XHTML and CSS, as well as digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop
• Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.
• Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and make sure that they are universally accessible.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
• Leads user experience projects by guiding, defining, and prioritizing usability improvements to align with corporate goals and business objectives
• Plans and proposes innovative changes to UI design, information architecture, interaction, and design processes that will result in increased consumption and revenue
• Drives usability testing strategy, working closely with the Product Development Teams across more than 7 products
• Conducts appropriate usability research, including expert reviews, competitive analysis, task analysis, card sorts, user interviews, and usability tests
• Creates site maps, workflows, wire frames, and prototypes for usability testing
• Establishes guidelines and UI patterns for the product’s UI pattern library
• Leads team through design reviews and walkthroughs.
• Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment for the Product Development team
• Mentors the cross-functional team in the discipline of User Experience design
• Monitors external human factors and HCI research, standards, and user experience design trends for potential opportunities for Zycus suite of products.

Skill & experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• Masters in Human Factors or related field preferred.
• 6 – 12 years related work experience.
• Expertise in a broad range of methodologies including strong experimental design, data, analysis, etc.
• Strong understanding of UI design concepts and emerging technologies
• Strong track record of taking leadership and ownership of the usability aspects of a product’s development
• Excellent problem-framing skills
• Organized, self-directed, efficient, and able to manage complex projects in a timely manner
• Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary/cross-functional teams
